Hydraulic System
The pallet truck contains an oil reservoir. When the handle of the pallet trucks is pumped up and down, oil is dispersed under pressure to a hydraulic cylinder. When the cylinder fills, a hydraulic ram lifts out of the cylinder and causes the forks of the pallet truck to rise. When a lever is depressed to lower the forks of the truck, oil is released back to the reservoir and the cylinder empties.
Wheel System
A hydraulic pallet lifting truck has two fixed wheels located at the front of the forks. These are complemented by two swivel wheels below the hydraulic pumping apparatus, and as the pallet is moved, the swivel wheels allow for superior maneuverability and the effortless movement of weighted loads.
Technical Data
Hydraulic pallet lifting trucks can carry weights of up to 2,500kg (5,551 lbs.). Their lifting range will usually be dependent on the load being carried, but a maximum height on lighter loads is 200mm (8 inches). Forks can measure between 900mm and 1,220mm (39 inches and 48 inches) and the truck can weigh anywhere between 75kg and 102kg (165 lbs. and 225 lbs.).
